Whilst the hunt is still up and running you sure can. 

.

However just something to keep in mind, when you gift away an icon, you gift away the 30 points as well,  the site will also gift away a random one from what you have collected.  So best to keep a list of where you first found them so you know which one is missing and then you can go back and recollect from where you first found the icon and get your points back at the same time.
