Sounds like a red flag to me. Mo means no and a Dom who doesn’t respect that isn’t worth your time.

No is no is no. I run everything by my partner from what's being used to what's going to happen. The only time there are surprises is when all that is being done is a known "yes."

That is simply NEVER acceptable.

If you tell the person that it is a ‘soft’ limit - then it can be discussed. But hard limits are always off the table as far as I am concerned - unless the person brings the limit up for discussion themselves.
(Which can happen now and then..)
