FETMOD-TF Posted October 28, 2023 Please feel to make recommendations, but as always no external links thanks
As**** Posted October 28, 2023 I actually built my own A frame ceiling hook (hook hides in a false smoke detector) spreader bar out of aluminum square tubing, chains, eye bolts and springs from a trampoline. But, I believe Adam and Eve have some online premade. They’re like $100 for a good A frame style spreader frame.
Sweetestsadist Posted October 28, 2023 Just some eyebolts into the rafters in the basement. I like our hammock swing better. It doesn't dig into my hips as opposed to a traditional swing and a fraction of the cost. They're on clearance now, cause summer is over. I Have a squatter attachment, for when I want to ride him for longer periods of time. Attach with carabineers, so it can be packed away easily. If no basement, you can put in a smoke detector and a carbon monoxide detector with the guts of it taken out to hide the bolts in the ceiling.
Ha**** Posted January 27 If you'd like to use your swing on a frame you can hang from the ceiling, find 2" scaffold tube or 2" sprinkler pipe. 3 to 4 feet long. 3 - 3"x 5/16 " eye bolts with nyloc nuts. Drill 1 hole in the center of the pipe for 1 of the eyebolts and 1 hole about an inch in from each end, for the other eye bolts to hang your swing from.
