Unsafe Practices and Information

While following a discussion in chat the other day, someone practicing "solo breath play with rope" this shocked a hell of a lot of people, me included.  The reason i'm playing this topic here is many new to the scene are jumping in feet first and not knowing etiquette, safe practices, SSC for example.  In this case they just didn't seem to want to listen to advice given by many members and quickly left the fray.  

In the past some of us especially in the UK had been spoiled a bit with information and advice on sites now sadly no longer here.

We had things as a pinned topic on every forum board on "The Deviants Dictionary" and "advice on safe practices etc" just wondering if similar or compiled advice could be pinned on respective  forum boards ?

This person was talking about solo breath play and just wouldn't listen to how dangerous it is.

It can be very dangerous but also very erotic. 

I like tight corsets that can restrict breathing with out danger. 

Of course there are a lot of areas of breath play but it needs to be safe

what if the sub is happy to go to levels that are actually unsafe?

unfortunately there are some kinksters who like the risk to extreme point. regardless what would you say to them, they are attracted by the thin line of death. Now if its done by themselves its up to them. But taking risk with someone else thats another matter. 

I am always wary when I see picture of players with ropes and see the obvious places where you shouldn't run a rope for example. Or how many you read a sub who love being grab roughly by the throat ... yes its all sound so hot, but in the wrong hand or badly done and the sub end up cold. 

Don't be shy to go to munches or even classes and learn some basics.

Yeah I wish safety would get more play in general. Risk Awareness. The human body really does have a lot of vulnerabilities that might seem minor until you have an accident.

Yeah, definitely corsets.  I've got four - two with the steel ribbing and two without - and the Vandal and I find this form of restriction as safe and erotic at the same time.

There are ways of carrying out solo breath play “relatively” safely, but it requires preparation, experience, engineering skills and a lot of patience to be able to do it correctly. Not for the uninitiated! ALL breath play carries risks. But so does driving a car...
