Something about my D/s roles

I'm quite not sure if I actually qualify as a dominant or submissive.

On the dominant side, I like having control over my partner, but I never get any extra feeling from the position itself.

On the submissive side, I love the idea of admiring and worshipping my partner, and satisfying their needs. But I actually pretty much *** losing control. So, I submit, but only as long as I have control over what I'm doing.

Note that this is just my personal preference in real life. I can do anything in a virtual play, since I'm free from any consequence and risk.

I feel it's important not to get too tied up in roles, titles and what they may or may not mean.

Do you enjoy things, that's the main thing?

Are you actually Dominant or submissive? You might be closer to a Top or bottom and that's fine.  Remember, it's ultimately about what you enjoy.

Roles can be difficult though; search criteria goes by them and people have certain ingrained ideas of what a submissive versus Dominant is.
I am having a similar struggle but I also have lots and lots of patience. Things rarely appear where you look for them
